ME? WE!
ME? WE!
ME? WE! [我 ? 們 ! ] (2019)
Light, shadow, and sculpted materials
Merging sculpture and shadow, this piece manipulates shifting light angles to alternate between the words ‘ME’ and ‘WE’.
Illuminating the structure from below casts the shadow of the solitary individual, trapping the viewer in a narrow, microscopic perspective. I
n contrast, shifting the light overhead reveals a panoramic, collective viewpoint, demonstrating how a simple change in perspective dramatically shifts our reality from isolation to unity.
